GRACE KELLY:
You are a lover. Romance, flowers, and wine are all you need to enjoy yourself. You are serious about all commitments and are a family person.
You call your Mom every Sunday, and never forget a Birthday.
Don't let your passion for romance get confused with the real thing.
I took a test to find that out. It was kinda fun. I thought I'd share it with you all. I will have a knitting post soon....I promise. :)

I am loving this sock. Yeah I know I am only like half way through the leg part. I told you I don't think I will get a gold medal. But I am still knitting on it a lot. I think the fact that I have gotten anything done on it with all my school work and son's sickness makes me deserve a gold medal. :) I love this yarn. I love how Roxanne makes the colors just flow so beautifully from one to the other. She is now selling pink passion through a
different store so you can get some of your very own. No more being jealous. :) I don't know that I will ever knit with another sock yarn. Okay so I will but I just love it and am very excited to make some more with all the other yarn I bought from her. It should keep me occupied for a year at least. :) Anyway, I am plugging a long. Maybe I can get one sock done before the flame is out. That would be a great accomplishment for me. Good luck to everyone!

First off is the package from Knit the Classics Valentine Swap. A big huge thank you to
Melissa. The first pic is of the package. Doesn't it look great? I feel pretty bad about my package now. It was pretty boring and not nearly as nicely wrapped. I know better for next time. Anyway, let's look inside.

Isn't it amazing. I just loved the look of it. I didn't want to open it, but of course that didn't last long. :)

Inside we found two beautiful balls of mohair yarn!! One is red and the other pink, with a pattern for a quick and easy Valentine Scarf. It will have to wait till after the knitting olympics but then it's straight on the needles for that. :) Next I got a really cute package of love cards. I loved the colors of them. I also got valentine candy corn!!! How she knew that candy corn is my fave candy I don't know!! I also got a very cute pink leather picture frame. Oh and of course I got a book! :) She sent me The Great Gatsby! I haven't read this since high school and I am very excited to read it again. She also sent a book for my son, which was very sweet! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I also got a package from my Felted Secret Pal today!!! I was going to take a picture before I opened the contents but I forgot. :) I got a cute little ladybug stuffed animal. Four skiens of Lamb's Pride, two in black and two in pink to make the bag in the very, very cute pattern she sent. I was going to take a close up of the pattern so you could see what the bag will look like but the batteries in the camera went dead and are re-charging. I also got a very cute journal. And Kitty got a new cat toy. :) Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I am doing okay on the knitting olympics. I might not finish on time. I started Bible College today and this is going to be a very busy next 18 months. Uggghhhh!!!! But it will be fun and I am actually excited. I can't wait to see how much I learn. I can tell it is going to be life changing!!! :) God has great things in store and it is exciting to actually feel like I am going somewhere again. Anyway, better get to the books.

Okay ladies and gents I am not off to a good start in the KO (Knitting Olympics). First of all I couldn't cast on right away because of school work. Then my son got diaherra....our first case....diaper rash real bad....I mean real bad...crying screaming changing diapers constantly....uggghhhh. So I get him to sleep and then I cast on. Socks are a lot harder than I thought, and this pattern is harder than I thought (by the way I decieded to go ahead and keep doing Jaywalkers....this may prove disastorous as I may run out of yarn). Those needles are teeny!!! Anyway, it gets better as I go....I have only done like four rows....I break a needle!!!!!

I have no extras!!!! My lys isn't open at 11pm...darn it!!! :) So I had to put it down for the night. I am so bummed. I am beginning to feel like the Jamacian bobsled team. So what do you think? Is this it for the Olympic hopeful? Will she get a gold? Stay tuned to find out. :)

Houston I have a problem. I checked how much yarn the jaywalker pattern said I needed and the yardage from the yarn I was going to use and I don't have enough. Now I have to figure something out. I may have to do a different pattern. Which is okay since I've never knit a real pair of socks before and any old pair will be a challenge but I am bummed!!! Now here's hoping I can find a pattern that will work with my big ole feet. :)

Okay first of I must say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to my secret pal. She emailed me a gift certificate to amazon.com. I'm nearly positive this is from my secret pal from sp7 but if it is from my felted secret pal let me know. Anyway, I ordered theree books....and of course spent some money in addition to the gift certificate. :) I got

Knit Socks!,

At Knits End: Meditations For Women Who Knit to Much, and

The Twisted Sisters Sock Workbook: Dyeing, Painting, Spining, Designing, Knitting. I can't wait for them to get here.

In other news...can you believe the Knitting Olympics as more atheletes than the real Olympics!!!! I am so amazed and proud of us. :) I can't wait to start on Friday. I am getting a little nervous...thinking can I really do this. But I can....I will....I must!!!

I got my sister's fuzzy feet all felted up. She has teeny feet. They shrunk up very nicely. I really like the way Wool of the Andes felts. She likes them as well. :) Nothing like getting your Christmas present in February! I still have to finish my mom's. :)
