Preparing
God keeps bringing something up to me that our pastor said in a sermon recently and so I decieded to write it down so that I will remember it in the future. :) He has been teaching on the Jewish wedding ceremony in relation to Jesus being our bridegroom and coming back for us. The part that specifically stuck out to me is how the Jewish bride prepared herself for her groom. She spent a whole year preparing. We too need to be preparing ourselves for Jesus, our bridegroom. But anyway, it just really kinda helped give me some purpose. It is something I lose sight of quite frequently. I need to be preparing myself to be the bride of Christ spiritually. I need to be in the Word and living a life that is worthy of Him....my husband. I also need to be preparing myself on earth for a husband. Whether I ever have one again or not. I need to be eating right, getting in shape, learning how to manage my money, running my business succesfully, ect, ect, ect. This will not only prepare me to be a good bride and wife someday but will give me discipline and self control and make me a better bride for Jesus.

Clappy and Sister's Christmas Present
I finally have the time to upload the picture of my sister's scarf that she got for Christmas and my progress on the clappy for my mom. The clappy is actually my mom's Christmas present. Yes it will be a little late but not as late as the fuzzy feet slippers for my other sister. :) That's okay.

My sister was so funny when she opened the scarf. She loved it and put it on right away. Then I told her it was knitted and I did it and she was like it doesn't look like it and then her whole face changed as though now that she knew it was knitted it wasn't good enough for her anymore. She kept it on a little bit longer and then took it off and never put it on again the rest of the visit. So that confirms that my sister will never get a handmade gift from me again. Because even if she likes it she seems to be to good for anything knitted...even when you can't really tell it was knitted. Oh well....one less person to waste my energy knitting for. :) It is frustrating though because I love to make stuff for people like that. It just means so much more in my opinion but oh well. Life goes on.

Here is my progress on the clappy. I am in the second time through the straight section (section 3). I can tell that this part is going to seem the longest but that's okay.

This is the two dropped stiches. It is a lot of fun to do. My mom and I were driving to Florence when I got to the second one and she looked over and was like what are you doing to my scarf. :) It was really funny. She thought I was ruining it. I showed her the pictures and she was releaved.

It's Over
Thank God Christmas is over. My family had Christmas on the 27th and then my family was still here today but they leave in the morning. I love my family really I do but you know how it goes. :) The hardest part this year was Christmas with my ex's family and without my ex for the first time. But I have the first one out of the way and I am really praying that there are good things in store this year and not more pain. I'm so tired of pain and tribulations in my life. I can definetly praise God in them because He is the only reason I have made it this far but that doesn't mean I like it or that I am not weary and tired. The Lord has strengthened me but I really could use a period of happiness.

Anyway, I got some great stuff this year. Way to much to type out. But of course the best thing has to be the $50 gift certificate to my LYS!!! So now it's on to getting my Mary Kay going again and packing to move. :)

My Hope is in the Lord
"Happy are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God." Psalm 146:5 NLT

The Lord is my helper. I have hope in him. I can be happy because of this. The Hebrew word their actually means blessed. I am blessed.

"For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation." Psalm 149:4 NKJV

The Lord takes pleasure in me. He beautifies me with salvation. I am beautiful to Him.

If there is one fact that we must fix in our minds, it is that our hope rests in God and God alone. We can't beg, borrow, or plead our way into God's good graces. We can't fine any back doors or loopholes in God's policies. No amount of creativity, sweetness good intentions, or effort will sway God's decisions. Neither should we harbor other hopes in our heart. There's no contingency plan, no backup, no last resort. There is one way and only one way to be saved. God is our one and only source of hope.

If you had to pin all your hopes on one things, what would it be? Not a decision to be made lightly, is it? Tehre are so many things that let us down. The one we pink our hopes on might turn out to be the very pink that bursts our bubble! People make mistakes. Things disappoint us. Expectations are left unmet. Even our friends can fail us. The stock market fluctuats. Laws have loopholes. Governments change with every election. Crops fail. Earthquakes, floods, and droughts destroy. Diseases infect. Accidents happen. Stuff breaks. Eveyrthing changes. Well, almost everything. In the midst of all the uncertainties of live, there is One who remains forever the same. Pin your hopes on Him!

(The last two paragraphs copied from "Hope: The Anchor for Your Soul" Published by Women of Faith)

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Hebrews 13:8 NIV

"God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful." I Corinthians 1:9 NIV

God is faithful! Who else is there that you can truly say that about? NO ONE!!! Therefore, the only one we can put our hope in is the Lord!

Christmas Cards
I can't believe it. I am sending out 100 Christmas cards. I had no idea I knew that many people. It is crazy! At least I just did the picture cards. :)

I have my sister's Christmas gift all knitted up. It is really pretty. I will post picture of it later. All I have left for Christmas knitting is my mom's clappy which will not be done by Christmas and my sisters fuzzy feet which also will not be finished by Christmas. I will try to post pictures tomorow. :)

Knitting Chicks Secret Santa
Okay before I share the pictures of my secret santa package I must share what my mom got me as an early Christmas present. She usually gets me a little more than all my step siblings.....yeah I'm spoiled. So here it is....

That's right an umbrella swift and a ball winder. I am so very excited!!!!! I used it to do three balls already and I love it. Not to mention the 15 month old thinks it is pretty cool as well. :)

Okay now on to my secret santa package. It is from Susan! Thank you so much Susan.

There is everything. Isn't it fabulous! She had all the gifts wrapped and stuffed in side. It was quite a treat!

Okay this bag is amazing. It is quite roomy. I'm not sure what I will put in it. I gasped when I opened up the box and saw it though. It is the perfect colors. And the wooden button with the silver ribbon is so beautiful. I tried to get a close up of the button but my camera wouldn't focus on it good enough. I just love it. And the stars hanging from it, now I realize those are supposed to be Christmas ornaments but I love them so much I think I might leave them on the bag. :) They weigh it down but that's okay.

Here is all the great yarn. I have no idea what I am going to do with it yet, but I love the colors. I also got some stich counter things that I'm not sure how to use properly and some point protectors. :) But wait there's more!

I got a homemade needle wrap, holder thingy. I am so excited!!! I desperately needed something to store my needles in. And it's PINK!!!! I also got a book I've been wanting for a long time. Not sure when I will get to read it with school and all but I will definetly have to fit it in somewhere. :) And what is in the silver heart box you ask....well I'll show you.

Stich markers!!!! I got some really awesome pink ones with cool words on them like faith, hope, dreams, ect. I love them. I also got some of those ones that you can count rows with as well....and some more pretty pink ones. I loved it all. Thanks again Susan.

Christmas Party and Finished Felted Bag
Last night we had our Christmas pary for the knitting group I go to. It was a lot of fun. We had food, the others drank wine, and did a gift exchange. Some others brought gifts for everyone has well. I was so amazed and blessed at all I came home with. In the gift exchange I won a $15 gift certificate so I got a ball of yarn and the Stich n Bitch book. I have the second one and thought it was time I had the first one. The yarn is to go with another yarn I have to make a scarf with. From the owner of our LYS I got a mug full of chocolate and a pair of size 15 cany cane needles. I am going to use those to make my scarf. From Janet, I got a really pretty pink flower pin she made for me and a very cute bag. The bag is just the perfect size for smaller projects...or even bigger ones. She didn't make it but it is beautiful. I put my pink flower pin on it and my two scarf projects. It is very cute. And yes I said two scarf projects. I actually have three things on the needles. Even though I said I would never have more than one thing going at a time. :) Let's see I also got a card and some really great lotion from Nicole. So I went home stuffed and happy. Here are some pictures of my spoils as well as the finished felted bag. Enjoy.

Finished Items and Other Stuff
Well it's been awhile since I have posted anything. I have finished my bag and felted it and I finished a hat for myself. The reason I haven't posted is because there are other things happening in my life that I just didn't know how to type about on here. Then I found the perfect quote today to describe how I feel.

“Love may not make the world go ’round, but I must admit that it makes the ride worthwhile.”
-Sean Connery

Sorry folks but that is all I am going to type about that right now. :)

Anyway, the house hunt goes one. Yet another house fell through. We are putting an offer on another one tomorow so we shall see how that goes.

I will post pictures of my finished projects soon. I am most excited about the hat because I thought it would be hard to make even a simple hat but it wasn't. I messed up at the end though but I still can wear it. I learned how to decrease so that was great fun.

I also finished my final in History today!!! Yipppppeee. That was very exciting. Well, I'd better get off of here. I have a Christmas/Bunko party to get to.

Great Day
Yesterday was a great day! It is amazing how true it is that when you delight yourself in the Lord, He give you the desires of your heart. He also blesses you and takes care of you. He is so amazing. Lord, I love you!

Yesterday, the first great thing was that my I actually answered a call from my credit card company. Now you may be thinking now why in the world would that be good. Well, I have been four months behind because I got myself in a pickle. I have always been on time and have had this card since I was 18 so needless to say they understood that something must be wrong. So they set me up on a payment plan were for the next year I will have 0% interest. All I had to do was set it up so that my monthly payment was automatically withdrawed. And they cut my payment in half. Plus any extra I pay will go straight to paying down my principle since I will have no interest! The other great thing is that by making a tad bit bigger first payment they will fix my credit report so it shows that I have been current. I was so amazed, shocked, and praising God for sure!!

Secondly, I went to the back specialist that my regular doctor sent me to because they thought my MRI showed a hirneated disc. But praise God it is just a little worn out from pregnancy and such. He said it was fine to do whatever I wanted to work out and what I needed to do was strengthen my core muscles that get worn down during pregnancy. So that was very exciting because the thought of getting in shape and healthy when you can't exercise is kinda frustrating.

Plus I got a lot done yesterday. It was just a productive day. I also found out that the house that we are buying which should close in the next couple weeks is going good. And the owners are leaving me a very nice lawnmower, a nice swingset, and two very nice practically new couches. It is so great because I don't have a lawnmower and this house has a living room and a family room and so I didn't have any furniture for the living room. Now I at least have a couple couches and then can add other little things. The couches are a flowery type print which isn't necessarily me but I might keep them that way or get slipcovers depending on how I do the front room.

So yeah, it was a great day. Oh I also learned how to do a knit cord bind off and how to make an icord. Plus I found the yarn to go with my other yarn to make a scarf and hat set. Pictures are below.

Here is the picture of my bag before I felt it. I am hoping to do that today. Some of you thought that top color is blue it is actually pine tree green. :)

Here is the new yarn I bought today. It is so amazingly soft which is what I was looking for. I think I am going to do like I saw on someone's blog and knit the whole thing like normal and then when binding off drop a stich every three stiches. We shall see how it turns out.

Here are the two yarns together. The one with the pink in it is for my hat. I am excited and hope to get them done shortly so that I can wear them. :)
