This is a pic of shimmer yarn for my mom's clappy also for Christmas.

Now the only yarn I have left to buy for Christmas is ribbon yarn for my sister's scarf.

Here is a pic of my baby blanket I am working on. Julia, the little girl it is for, was born on Thursday so I have to really hustle but it is coming along beautifully.

Beauty from Pain

My heart has been crying out to the Lord and I got some new CD's one of them being the new Superchick CD. I found a song on there that so expressed how I feel. Although I don't know how there will come beauty from the pain I have to hope it will. Here are the words.

Anyway in other news I have gotten more work done on my blanket and my friend taught me what I needed to do to make it a little less sloppy. I was so excited. I also got my first copy of Interweave Knits. I wasn't sure if I was actually going to pay for the subscription but now that I have seen one I am definetly going to get it. I loved it. It has so many great patterns!! I am getting more and more addicted to knitting everyday. :)

I DID IT!!!

Okay so to most of you this will be a very small accomplishment but I learned to purl today!!!! And it is in my first project following an actual pattern!!! And the row even worked out!! So you may be wondering what in the world is she knitting. I am knitting a baby blanket for my friend who is having a baby girl anyday now. It most likely won't be ready in time but oh well. So here is a pic of it. You can't see it very well because I can't spread it out well yet but it is a basketweave pattern.
