I am a homemaker by choice. My goal is to lead a life that is contrary to our culture. To create a home that is full of God's peace and love. To create a home that is a refuge in the midst of a crazy, crazy world. To seek balance and a pace of life that is able to hear what God is saying. When people come to our home I want them to feel the prescence of the living God. This is not a task I take lighlty nor one that can be truly achieved while I work outside the home. I believe that this is the call that God has given all women and that when we truly embrace it as Christians our world will radically change. As part of this goal we also home school our children. We believe this is the way God intended it has seen in Deuteronomy 6. Deuteronomy 6:6-9 - "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on the gates."

Okay, so it is time to post again. I was up all last night. I have had a lot on my mind. I just couldn't sleep. I don't want to go in to too many details about why I couldn't sleep. But I was up until like midnight chatting with a friend and then that got me thinking and I just couldn't sleep. So I watched the last disc I had here of Alias and I NEED Season 3!!!! I need to know what happened/happens Anyway, after that I decieded to try to go to sleep. It was like 2am by then. But alas, I couldn't sleep. I just cried. I haven't cried in a long time. I cried a lot a few months ago but it has been a long time since tears have been shed. I can't actually pinpoint why the tears came. I guess I was just a little overwhelmed. Anyway, Ben is doing pretty good. We are learning how to sleep on our own. Last night I got him to sleep in his crib after a ton of crying and then I went to go check on him before I went to bed and his door creaked and woke him up. I didn't want to start the screaming all over so I took him to bed. We will try again tonight. It is tough to do this all alone. I really need to focus more on getting some Mary Kay classes on my schedule and on working out. I have been a tad lazy lately. I have to start being less lazy. Okay so I've rambled on long enough I think.
